Book Reviews

Here is a collection of reviews I have done. I promise I don't always give 4-5 star reviews. I just am very open to all kinds of books from all kinds of authors. I don't just gravitate towards the most popular authors. That's not to say I don't enjoy a good Nicholas Sparks book, because I really do.

Touch Me (Touch, #1)Touch Me by T.H. Snyder

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Well let me start of by saying "GO SOX", being a huge Red Sox fan I had to read this book as all the characters in this book are too. The writing is a little different from what I am used to, however I love the two main characters and enjoyed the banter between them.
First there is Char a women with a great career, she also is still healing from a rough break up from ex-boyfriend Marc.
Then there is Riley, her good friends new roommate looking for a new beginning, hes charming, sweet, and like I said before a RED SOX fan.
These to were destined for each other, and no matter what obstacles they faced they did so together. It was a nice light read with out to much drama, push, and pull that made it fake and unrealistic.

Unspoken by Jen Frederick

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I got this book from NetGalley to read and give my honest opinion, so here it goes.

When I first started reading this book I wasn't sure if I would even finish it. I just had a hard time in the first chapter to have it catch my attention. I have had this happen before and ended up liking the book so I powered through. Well let me just say I ended up actually loving this book.

If you have ever been a victim of bullying then you will relate to AnnMarie. She had one drunken stuper and became a target to an entire college campus. If you're a hot tempered ready for action person you will relate to Bo. He's a just out of the Marines and in college trying to figure out what's next. He's hot tempered and enjoys fight club type events.

This book has something for everyone. I highly recommend this book!!!

Fifty Shades Trilogy by E.L. James

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A friend was reading this book series and had mentioned it to me. After telling me what it was about, I was very skeptical on reading it. I mean I'm not a prude by any means, but I wasn't sure just how HOT and STEAMY it was going to get. However once I got into it I couldn't put it down. WOWZERSS!!

It had a unique storyline and had lots of STEAMY scenes! I loved it!

In this series you get to know Anastasia and Christian.

When Anastasia goes to do an interview on her friends behalf she meets Christian a young entrepreneur. She finds him attractive and he finds her intriguing. How far can this attraction take them? Read the series if you haven't already, but be warned there is a lot of graphic sex scenes that may not suitable for all ages!

The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have never heard of this author before. I saw it on NetGalley and decided I would give this book a shot. Well let me tell you, this is one of the best books I have read this year! It has everything I look for in books. It has a lot of emotion in it and adventure.

With nothing but her cell phone, purse, and a bag of necessities Camryn hops on a greyhound bus headed anywhere out of the only town she's ever known in hopes to find herself. Along her travels she meets Andrew, who is headed home the long way. Andrew and Camryn decide to take have an adventure together and see where they end up, neither expecting to find what they weren't looking for!

I definitely recommend this book!

Night Road by Kristin Hannah

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this story. I feel like it should be a book that high school kids should have to read. It touches on teen drinking, sex and the consequences that could happen. This is a story about 3 teens who made a bad choice their senior year of high school, that forever changes their lives.

When Lexi moves to a small close knit town she be-friends Mia a shy unpopular girl. When Zack, Mia's twin brother falls for Lexi, they become a trio. One night, one bad choice, the family is torn apart. In the years to follow each person has to deal with what happened that night and try to move on and forgive each other. Can they? Will they?

This is a great story by Kristin Hannah, if you haven't read it I highly recommend it.

 Too Fast by Alexia Haynes

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was given this book from NetGalley to read and give my honest opinion. I thought this was a pretty good book. It wasn't a little slowly dragged out for my liking, but the story was still good.

In this book you meet Savannah and Luke. Savannah works a lot and is going to school and didn't have time for relationships. Luke works hard to support his family and was looking for a good time. Neither expected to find each other and fall so quick. That much intensity and passion that quick in a relationship could tear them apart. But will it?

I'm a sucker for stories where two people fall hard and fast.

Expired RegretsExpired Regrets by Megan C. Smith
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I got this book as and ARC from the author for my honest review. Well where do I start with this one.
Wow, This was a good read and I am totally team Jordan!
This book has a love triangle that will make it hard for you to really pick between the two guys. There's Bryant, the new guy at the horse barn where she rides. The moment she laid eyes on him she knew she wanted him, he wanted her too but knew he knew he was bad for her. After Bryant and the guys show up at a barn party, she meets Jordan who just can't take his eyes off her. Everything with Bryant is complicated where as everything with Jordan is easy. How can you pick?
Check this book out to follow the love triangle. You will yell at the book and at times tear up. It is full of emotion, and I cannot wait to read more from this new "new adult" author.

Dark Desire by Emily Jane Trent

My rating: 1 of 5 stars

I was sent this book to read and review. I must say I am a little disappointed. When reading the story description I thought it would be better. To me is was a short knock off from Fifty Shades of Gray. Average girl falls for rich man who's into submissive women. Over all the book seemed a bit choppy.
